Jrock:

Exactly. My throttle is on the left. I always understood the other
Regions had the other mode. So all of the radios aren't made the same. Fwiw, we in the states don't even see many things that other areas do. Ill never forget ordering jr parts for my ergo from Quick UK because
Those parts weren't available here at all. So there are differences from what we get. Sad but true... The planet is a large place in which the US is not the center of production.

Every time I fly I loose more hair! LOL

The Joe Nall has already published the fact that the 2010 event is 2.4GHz only.
They even had a picture of the departing frequency control board.

Not a Heli specific event but far from an unknown one.

Digital throttle trims are way easier! All you do to cut the engine is flip a switch, which you can even do with the DX7. It's called a Program mix, then you don't ever have to move the throttle trim, unless it's cold. We live in a Digital age, and yet we still have analog trim on our pricey JR radios???? I had a X9303, and got rid of it for that very reason. Just my .02 cents, I had to get that off my chest. Can't stand analog trims!

I am afraid that you are getting the cart well before the horse.

#1. No announcement of or about the 11X has been published by Horizon.

#2. Horizon/JR policy to date has been analog on throttle. Period.

#3. Interestingly the Spektrum line up has been all digital trims. BUT, all 10X, XP or X 9303's, and the 12X are ALL analog on throttle trim.

Personally I do not care but I realize 'some, but not all' would prefer the digital trim.
As I remember it the poll conducted by Horizon around the 10X time, resulted in a strong preference for analog on throttle trim. I haven't seen anything that would indicate a change was in the offing.

Nick,

Perhaps it's time for a petition to Horizon for them to offer the all Digital version for those who want it.

I, for one, hope that the analogue throttle trim will be retained.

Digital throttle trim might be enough to prevent me from buying one of these.

Hence the reason for petitioning HH to offer BOTH options.

+1 for that idea!

Can someone give me a good reason for having a analog throttle trim?? I sure can't think of one. If your reason is to cut the throttle, just do a program mix for throttle cut, works great on the DX7, and is still faster than dropping a throttle trim slider every time! Just my .02 cents!

I have the same "issue" with my x9303. I just use a switch to 'kill" the engine.

I would like to have a digital Th trim.

I think the reason none of you like mechanical trims is because you don't fly planks.

With the digital throttle trim, to increase your idle speed it is like, "beep-beep-beep-beep-beep-beep-beep-beep-beep-beep-beep-beep-beep-beep-beep-beep-beep-beep-beep-beep-beep-beep-beep-beep-beep-beep-beep-beep-beep-beep-beep-beep....beep.....beep".

With mechanical throttle trim it a single "slide" and it is done.

I much prefer mechanical throttle trim because it saves me about 30 seonds in setting the idle speed on my plank. I think it would be a big mistake for Horizon to discontinue this feature. For those who don't like the mechanical throttle trim (and don't use it), they can simply program a kill switch which cuts the throttle to zero thus making everyone happy.

I too prefer the anolog trim vs. the digital. The digital trim just
takes up more time. With the anolog you just turn it down and thats it. I dont know what all the fuss is. I wouldn't let a little thing like that stop me from buying a radio I like. Just set the idle and mix a switch to kill the engine. Very simple. I think most of us over analyze these things. Its ok to be faithfull to the brand we like, just don't use a petty thing like an anolog throttle trim when its simple to work around it. Just my .02 cents

Yes, I agree. Thank you.

I'll have to admit that while I have not seen the Tx 'in the flesh', this design is NOT growing on me.
Initially I was "wow". That has completely worn off.
Unless there is some significant operational up grade included I am now ready to pass on the 11X.
