o get a nice 5 cell NiMH or Nicad 6volt battery for it,about 1800-2500ma, no regulator.

what's the difference between a 5 cell NiMh/NiCD and a 2 cell LiFePO4? I don't run a regulator with mine.

I agree that the 600 series servos from Hitec will work, have years of service with them on Raptors. They run much better at the higher voltage so a 5 cell pack or 2 cell LiFe would be my recommendation with them. LiPo is too high a voltage for me to be comfortable with those servos though.

I was planning on getting a align 2n1 regulator is that better with lipo, life,or nimh? Is there a benifit of no regulator?

The 2-1 has been good for me on my Raptor. I have not had problems running a LiPo there. You have to run it somwhere between 7 and 8.4V input though since this is what it's designed for, basically lipo or LiIon only.

The advantage of the LiFe is it can take a charge much faster and doesn't need a regulator. The advantage of no regulator is don't need to buy one (saving money), don't need to run one, less equipment to fail and don't need to carry one on board=lighter heli.

Pick your poison, go with what you are comfortable with. If you are not sure about something ask around so you don't fry some component or have other problems.
