Just give her gentle encouragement, don't push or give too much advice at once.

Yep, happened at our house too. Been getting ready to do my first hover. Kinda nervous and excited. The sim is the best way to hook you 'cause then you want the real thing...

If at first you don't succeed... save up for another one...

Trekrider586 said he is. I'm not real keen on the idea of watching the crash over and over on film. I'm sure the mental picture replaying over and over will be plenty for me...

Be positive!! My first flight I barely got off the ground...and my first real crash is on video. I laugh at it now! Watching it zoom by the camera into the wall behind us in the garage...what memories!

LOL I figure it'll be a line drive nose first into the ground. I'll be sure to give updates and hopefully it won't end up on youtube...

Hope noone got hurt! You were pretty brave to fly in such an enclosed area to start with... I'm pretty sure that I'll have some comical footage. In the end, at least I'm going to try, right?

Give it all you got girl!!!

No one was injured in the making of the video. Even though we had to jump out of the way into a pile of boxes. We thought it would be a good enclosed area for me to try out my first flight without the training gear and stay out of the wind, but we learned really quick...Becky flies outside!

Well, even though I'm just now starting I've been watching Trek since he started back in Feb. I've learned the ground rules and everything. There's just something about knowing that you'll be doing it on your own that gives you the jitters. Hopefully I'll be over them after I get off the ground for the first time!

I still get the jitters. I did a flip the other day, it wasn't pretty and I just HAD to set the bird down, remember to breathe and just take a break before getting back in the air.

I just hope I can breathe period! Hopefully I can have a successful hover to start with to build up my confidence. We'll see!

you are one lucky man! My girl loves going out to the flying field and watching but doesn't show any interest in flying them. Just don't push her to hard. If she enjoys it, let nature take its course.

It's a complex, costly, glow powered anti-gravity machine!

That's cool!
When my girlfriend tried it it was like hmm...NOOOOOO...ok now...NOOOOOO... how you go... NOOOOOOO
Sometimes she starts stirring the cyclic stick all over and I have to keep the heli up just by collective and rudder... it is a ton of fun!

Fly it like you stole it!!!

Try getting an experienced pilot to buddy cord you. Then you fly higher and the "trainer" can flip the switch and take control if you get in trouble.

I learned that way and now I can do forward flight. Just took 2 years to accomplish that.....

On second thought don't listen to me. I need more sim time...

This hobby is WAY too expensive!!
