My Posts This: Topic  Forum		+1 on what Sonic88 said and if I recall there was warranty problem's with the Align 50 hypers.Im guessing if they come out with the Align hyper 55 the warranty problems will still be there cause OS has nothing to do with these motors and Align don't make them.

Trex 600N/hyper 50/MP5, Revmax,Spartan DS760/JR DS8900G,3 Align DS610's.

OS will want to recoup their development cost with higher margin sales for a while before signing a cheaper OEM agreement with another company.

My Posts This: Topic  Forum		I will be surprised if OS private brands the .55 anytime soon. The whole reason to develop a new engine is to differentiate yourself from others. IF you give it right off to Align, you are effectively competing with yourself. May as well save the development cost and do that with the .50.

Well that would depend on what kind of profit is to be made selling the 1st 2000 engines to Align or whoever. Everything i$ done for a rea$on.

Marthy so your saying that Great Planes pays $200.00 for a engine and Align pays $200.00, that OS wants to sell to Great Planes so they can control the market, good luck. Bobby(I'm not saying that's what they pay for a engine, I'm just using that $ amount)

My Posts This: Topic  Forum		I guess without visibility into what OS production cost is and how much they get net from their big OS distributors and what they sell to Align for, it is all speculation.
For all we know the prices negotiated by the big OS distributors may be the same as what Align pays OS, and Align just runs on a thinner margin.
And since we obviously have a whole group of people whole feel OS and Align engines are different, OS wins either way.
