I am pround to annouce that the Mid America R/C Heli Fun Fly 2010 has been scheduled for June 25th through the 27th of 2010. Last year we had a blast and there was plenty of action with some of the world's premiere helis pilots attending. For 2010 we will do it BIGGER and BETTER!!!!!!!
Hosted by the Detroit Aeromodlers this event will be the premiere r/c heli event in the midwest, excluding IRCHA.
Here are the Pertinent details:
Dates: Friday, Saturday and Sunday June 25th, 26th and 27th.
Location: The Detroit Aeromodelrs Club field at Joy Rd. and Spinozza in Detroit. Featuring (9) large flight stations for non-stop flying action. The field is close to several fast food places and convenience stores, plus we will have the usual dogs and burgers on site.
Events: There will be events for pilots of all levels we are planning a novice event, an intermediate event, an advanced event and possibly drag racing.
Activities: We are planning a group trip to MGM Grand Casino Friday night and a trip to a nice resteraunt on Saturday night and of course a trip to the office.
Landing fees will be: $30 on-site. $25 pre-registration. Registration includes the event t-shirt and if you pre-register your name will be printed on the back of the shirt. Lunch is included Friday and Saturday for registered pilots.

We are really working hard towards making this a great event with alot of good flying and good times after dark. We are working on a website with more detailed information. And I will continue to post pre-registration and additional info as it becomes available.
