Is it safe to power Castle Creations BEC from main battery to eliminate the BEC battery on a Trex 600 ESP?

if you are refering to the CC 10A bEC,thats exactly what its designed for.As long as you are using a 6s set up, as the max input is 25V.Just make sure your set up does not draw more Amps than what the CC can deliver..some high draw set ups are too much for that unit.it would not work in my Knight powered from a 3s lipo, using all digital servos

I've seen quite a few helis being lost due to CC 10A bec failure, as late as yesterday on the forum...

I suggest you go with any Western Robotics instead, or at least the new CC bigger BEC.

the ccbec is a 10a peak and I think that it is only good for about3-5 continuous, on my vibe 50 I can pull up to 8 continuous and I believe that would fry the ccbec. castle has a new bec though that should be up to the task.

Do yourself a favour by a Western Robotics BEC from the start, size it to your exact needs. CC10A BEC, here is a story and one of many...

Thanks guys.. I see that 10A BEC is not intended for large birds, instead small ones.. I'll buy CC BEC PRO..

I read Western is the best but they want too much money for simple step down converter. I can afford that but do not like to pay that much $ for that much simple thing.. Castle's pricing is nice..

The Dimension Engineering BECs are also good quality. If they make one that meets your needs I would have a look at those as well.

I've been flying a DE SportBec BEC on 6V for 2-years with zero troubles.
