I am having a bit of a head ache, according the manual i got with the mechanics they are set number 1002/18 which has the fenestron tail for the Ec135.

well i decided to count the gear ratio as i am looking to convert to electric..

According to the manual it is a 10:1 ratio, well i did a visiual check, marked up one of the teeth and then rotated the head and counted the gear turns, it was 4 to 1..

I then counted the main gear and it is 55 tooth with a 22 tooth pinion.. which matches up with the manual..

How do they arrive at a 10:1 ratio ?

Thanks Paul,

I was also counting the main gear turns, when i counted the pinion on top of the clutch bell housing it was 10:1,

thanks for the help, i can see now, must of been a brain lock out ,senior moment.. worrying for 37
