I've flown my beam today with at least 13-14 degrees of pitch..
wow !! Climb like a rocket !!
With the 2221-6, 11t pinion the motor is almost unboggable :-)

And it flies faster than my axe 400 3d RTF...
How much speed do you think a heli like this can reach ??

My Posts This: Topic  Forum		Slap a 13t on there and tell me what you think. I have a 13 on mine with the 2221-8 and it screams. In fact I will probably drop to a 12 for a little extra torque and less HS.

12t is the limit from what I've heard... With 12t and 2221-6, the hardened shaft is mandatory !!
Headspeed is around 3700 RPM with this setup

Or did someone ever try a 13t pinion with 2221-6 ?? I don't think the heli will resist...

Do you have an idea about top airspeed in FFF ??

My Posts This: Topic  Forum		I did at that moment wend i got my beam i had a 13t and the order of the got mixup for so i put the 13t on and mandatoties carbon blades for it and the HS from mty tach was limmitted to 3200rpm but the guys told me that that set up was much more than that but i did fly tht beam with the 2221-6 13t on 55 amp ESC it did hold up for a couple of weeks in to i got the 12t on the mail. but in my opinion it was to fast to fly good but to fast for me.

Beam E4,scorpion 2221-6 11t,A123 battery,Scorpion 55amp ESC,Carbon blades

I didn't know the beam could resist such a headspeed that for sure must have been VERY HIGH...

Did you have the hardened shaft with your setup ???
