while completing my build I noticed 2 issues. I brought this to my LHS where I got it and Gerd hasnt replied yet to him. Its been almost 2weeks
- Main gear hub doesnt aling well with the main shaft - tail drive motor holder doesnt align with the tailboom and frame hole
Main Gear Hub: when mounting the screw thru the main shaft/hub the screw has a tight fit. Forcing it will chop off the teeth on the screw. Hammering action on the screw will chop off one side of the screw teeth see figure below. What's interesting is that if you put the screw on the shaft only it fits perfectly and the same goes if mount on the hub only. Suspect the holes on the main hub is not aligned to the shaft
Tail Drive: Frame and tailboom holder fits well but the motor mount is off by 0.3-0.5mm. I havent mounted it yet cause Im waiting for my Kora motor to have everything in there and see how it will fit
For the main hub I know i could probably pile a bit but it might just introduce slop which will cause more harm than help. I know I can force the screw in and it will fly fine but my problem is when removing the main gear/hub for maintenance it will be a PITA.
Any ideas of experience you might be able to share.
