I have the new trex 450 sport and it seem's like every second flight i have to re-adjusting my boom , i final got sick off it and pin the boom to the case....My question is Align coming out with a metal tail boom mount for this Heli ?

( Had a minor crash today the spindle bolt came loose again even with the blue stuff).

if the spindle bolt came loose after a crash its probably damaged.

if you put a piece of tape on the boom it wont slip and you wont need to pin.

you can also take the plastic boom block out and carefully hand file the center enough so that you get a perfect mating surface.

i did it to my 500 with perfect results

Thanks , i did replace it with a new spindle i just have to check it more often then i think ..I was just wondering if they were going to come out with an aluminum replacement like they did with the SE model ( Bling! ,but it works) instead of having to pin or sand the boom block.......

just split the halves and hand file the center flat all the way across.

that way when you bolt the two halves back up they hold the boom better.

you will notice as your using the file that the 2 halves that meet are not perfectly flat. really all you are doing is cleaning up the mold marks. you dont have to take that much material off to get it to hold the boom tighter.

I have some pic to post soon two kits the same thing it seem like the belt is longer or the boom is different but i check the diamentions and they are all the same.

so your still having problems with the boom slipping in the mount ?

i'm thinking of putting another rear servo mount up against the boom support and snug it up really good. that way i know the boom won't slip and loosen the belt

Here are some pics ...

In the pic with the boom only with the slot at the end ,when you tension the belt the slot does not catch in the slot in the boom block . I check the boom dimentions on the trex450se sev2 Pro and the sport and they are all the same .Thats why i pin my boom and no more problems
