It will be fine, just add a heatsink onto it if the temps are too hot, it does have thermal protection but no overcurrent protection.

I was pulling 150A or so on the 65A 10S ESC for a long time.
Only problem was in a crash the TT ESC burn up most of the time.

How are you able to determine that you were pulling 150A?

It was just a guess of the peaks it was getting. It would be something around that figure, needed a big heatsink on it

The reason I ask is I have a 99 Spin controller which records peaks in different parameters, including Temp and Amps. This ESC is one of several like it I have, on the 4 90 size ships in the fleet. Even running +-15 degrees with 710 blades and 2250 head speed, I've never seen peak Amps over 117, flying hard and under those extreme loads with a Scorpion 4035-560...

But your prolly not flying 710mm blades at 2250 on 6s. If you are running that set-up on 10 or 12s you just cut your amps in half all though I really doubt someone was hitting 150 amps on a 6s system with 550 blades. Seeing what mine does on a eagle tree I was no where close to that even with the new 35c batteries or my old 25c.

I'm married so you know I am no stranger to pain!

Im currently have my e550 stretched and running 600mm blades, im using a 4020 1100kv scorpion with the stock ace 75a esc all on 6s, it flys ok but im very careful of the collective in flight, im concerned about the burst current under high load. I have a CC100 ice coming but its taking forever to get here, once thats here It will be interesting to log the current data.

Well even on 12S I can bring up the flashing on the jive which indicates tiny spikes of almost 240A

Pete, did you ever get your 100 Ice. If so, did you get to do any amps draw data logging???

Hear is a graph from my ICE 100 data logger that I made the other day. I am using Turnigy 8s 5000 LiPo and Mavrikk 550 wide chord blades. There were quite a few overshoots and over speeds so I will increase the gain and do some more testing this weekend.

During very hard flying I get spikes a little over 70 amps so I think that an ICE 75 would be plenty.

Do NOT upgrade to V3.00 firmware.

I upgraded to V3.00 firmware and it smoked my ICE 100 ESC. Apparently CC still have problems with their beta software (2.18, 2.19, and 3.00). Stay with V2.16 and you will be ok.
