Ros, have you logged the Gps reception in your area yet?

Here i got an average of 10 satelites and an DOP average of 1.3 (best DOP is 1, worst is 20)that was in a radius of 200km in the area i drove around in today.

Wonder if its getting even better tomorrow when the new EGNOS system opens

This page displays all the Captron Helicommand dealers, you can either order it from Captron directly or from one of their distributors

Looks like theire out stock, which probably means they only order when someone wants a unit, which also means it takes the same amount of time to get it directly from Captron in Germany, the advantage is that you will always get help directly from the vendor itself, which knows to the fingertips everything about the product there is to know, and i can assure you, i havent experienced any better service from any other vendor or dealer than directly from Captron, im not saying there arent any other, just the ones ive dealt with so far

I would still go with Rael. The time of ordering is the same and at least you would have US customer service.

Chris

No I haven't logged GPS reception around the area. The only time I've seen the number of satellites is when I hook up the unit to the laptop. I get between 9 and 10 in my area most times. Lowest I've seen is 7. Still holds well.

Can't really beat CAPTRON for their own product in knowledge and service IMO.

nooobs, thanks a lot, now my HC 3A sucks. That Face Home is a feature that could have saved me once, it just got to far away and lost it in the background clutter. I could have saved it by cranking in cyclic until I got oriented (HC 3A was working doing it's job) but I panicked and dropped into some bushes. Guess I'll have to buy me an expensive Christmas present (HC Profi with GPS ).
Thanks for the detailed and extensive reviews.

You're welcome Paul.

I do remember that crash. I'm sure Santa will send an elf to drop by CAPTRON...
