ok I'm looking around for a flight simulator program so that I can fly indoors this winter. but which one should I get real flight basics or phonix, or clear view? and will any of the flight sims work with my airtronics rds8000? or will I have to get a different controller? thanks for your help and your opinions would be great.

+1 Pheonix. Just got it a cuple weeks ago. Real Flight has a couple things I liked better but overall Pheonix is better.

If I hadnt bought my house I would have so much more heli stuff right now. Damn! Hind sight is 20/20

flying

WC. I watched your clips,Now they are very good,The point is ,you took them so that you can SEE the heli , and it also showes how well you can fly. Many other clips just don't show the heli that good and you cant see the heli because they are soooo far away.
You can fly your Upside down better then I can fly mine anyway.well Im just learning and 62yrs.Im just starting to hover it.But Im just in it for the FUN of it.I'll be happy just for fly it in a circle.hee hee hee .
REAL GOOD JOB on the vido.I have an idea for you.Take one of your songs and play it while you are flying it,maybe with a head set, and fly your heli to the music. That would be nice.Go with the Beat.
Good Job.

We have Realflight 4.5. What does the Phoenix have that Realflight doesn't? Tell us what we're missing!

If at first you don't succeed... save up for another one...

vid/s

WC. great flight's , I think that Ill go and take my Blade out for 2 battary runs. Like I said ,im just getting started in this FUN hobby, I also went and go "Phoenix" sim. that is sooooo real life.I tried out the realflight and didn't like it.To me Phoenix is better.
I also have a nitro Hirobl shuddle, with 50 dia rotors.Only fly that a few times because I had no idea that I even had to set up the tx. ha ha ha that has a futaba,i think 4 ch.But i did get it to hover alittle. And I think it is easier to fly them the Smaller Blade 400.
Keep the vid's a comming.
Good work.
I had a major hear attach about 10years ago and left me only with about 25% of the heart left working.Oh well that's life,so lets go fly and have FUN.......

i disagree i have both phoneix and realflight .

the beautifull graphics of phoneix makes the heli fly in a slower motion close to like aerofly

realflight is as real as your gonna get and sound affects sound better with realflight.

just my opinon any one else have both besides me that can add
their opinon ?

This topic gets replayed so many times.

It depends on what you want. More bells and wistles, Real Flight. Or ... top notch Heli flight dynamics, Phoenix 2.5r (so far).

It's up to the user.

When I returned to heli's two years ago I picked up on RF 4.0 to get the chops back. At that time I thought RF 4.0 was really great. But as I got better, I finally decided to try Phoenix. Wow what a difference. As with any sim, it is not the real thing, but very close. It will make you work.

Just my 2 cents.

Cheers

sim

If you have a chance try the real flight.I tried it and my son tried it and didn't like it.So i bought the Phoenix sim. and was very happy with it.It was better then realflight,by both of us.and Im only learning.
Good luck. I guess they all will work to get you better. With the Phoenix I sometimes feel like I have to plant new grass, because it seems so real. haa haa ha
