Im looking for the 4 allens most commonly used i.e. 1, 2, 2.5 and 3 mm. allens but in a socket for using a ratchet. anyone have any idea?

Try Sears they make them , as do most tool manufacturers, like Snap On, Mac, Matco.

You can't insert a 1/4" female in the 1/4 female socket that is in the cordless screw driver.

True, but I have other tools that they would work with...like mini ratchets and screwdriver bit handles with 1/4dr ends.

They may be a bit fat to get some places, though...
