Ya, I'll man up.

If you asked me a few months ago, I would have scoffed at the idea of a 4mm flybar on my birds.

Well, Friday I was given a Hyperbar converstion tube to try out. Got myself some T700**cough** flybars and some 4mm Stubz.

Let me tell you, hoe-ly-crap!

It's like flying a 450 sized 90, honest. It's that quick!

This is with an SR, 16T at 2000HS, Hatori and Kasama header.

Thanks again Mike, I owe ya!

They fly nice like that, dont they?..

I personally found the hyper flybar to be a little quicker and more precise. It is a much stiffer bar. You may want to give that one a try.
And then for the ultimate, get the Botos mixers and get the weight down to 10.2lbs.. Talk about the WOW factor..

Ya, the Hyperbar is 75mm shorter. I might try that.

Good tip on the Botos mixers.

Ironhide, no FBL in sight for me as of right now. No funding

700 flybar with super stubs and weights put to the middle then change the balls on the seesaw from middle closer to the head block OR 700 flybar align paddles botos mixers with seesaw balls to inside these are two differnt mods that a couple of team synergy guys I know flyThese mods make the n9 fast and still keep it tracking the way we all like. The hyperbar is superfast for in your face smackdown but the n9 loses some of it's tracking and stablity. As for FBL do the second mod with the bonta frames" fbh" it flys allmost Fbl. These I've all tested and work great and make the n9 a whole new Heli.

Thanks Jay

I had the hyperbar and boto-mixers on my n9 and found that - while it was fast- it was very twitchy with a lot less precise tracking. fff was more 'pitchy'. i didnt try different paddles or blades(used SAB 4mm/SAB710).. perhaps heavier paddles/different blades could have tamed it down.

I actually like the stock 5mm/mixers/SAB paddles better as flying the n9 fast is quite fun...

They did mention using weights on the Hyperbar for better fff. I agree, the 5mm bar and SAB paddles work great too. I have one N9 set up to be quick and the other set up more for big air type stuff.

I'm assuming most people run the see-saw mix in the middle hole and you are also using the boto mixers with the middle hole as well. That being said, there are tons of different combinations one could use with see- saw mix, fly-bar paddles, boto mixers, kasama mixers, flybar size 4/5 mm, and main blades to make this helicopter fly almost any way you want. I use my see-saw to its full potential by starting in the inner hole which gives quicker response and then working my way out with each tip over or crash that I experience ( I'm cheap). I like flying the model on any of the holes becuase it has enjoyable characteristics throughout the range. As far as the boto mixers are concerned, offering quickness at the expense of stability/ tracking during forward flight, you may want to try going to the outer hole on the see-saw while using them. This may or may not offer a unique combination somewhere between middle hole stability and inner hole hole quickness associated with the stock mixers. It's worth a shot.

Kinda like pulling the V6 out of a car, putting in a V8 and taking the plugs out of two cylinders so it won't be so fast.

The point of the Hyperbar and lightweight paddles it's to get the quickest cyclic out of stock settings.

FFF is going to be compromised, you just can't have both.

Anyone try the Kasama 520mm flybar? Seems like it might be a good compromise between the 560mm Align and 495mm Hyper flybar.
