My Posts This: Topic  Forum		Was doing piro flips - while inverted - could hear the engine rev its **** off etc ......

Bascially phucked at this stage - flicked it upright via throttle hold - and did my best to auto it down - headspeed was bascially lost at this stage etc .......

Hard landing (blades are still sweet tho) 1st observation - struts phucked - complete tail was sweet - servos sweet - linkages sweet - Will replace main & spindle shafts (will check them)

But the MAIN GEAR WAS STRIPPED completely!

Anyone else had this problem?

I was stick banging - but still - my X90 was designed for this?

It was a new gear - heres the clip of my flying - It was Nothing HARD cause I'm not that good - 20 seconds after the film cut off - gear was gone & down I came ........

I have inspected the damage - cant beleive the main and spindle shafts are still strait - and the blades are sweet - just need to replace the undercarriage and a few odd and ends - But nothing Major!

My Posts This: Topic  Forum		Ok well that stop's that idea. How was the gear mesh prior to the stripping?

I'm running the SR and I haven't had any issues like that yet. I had the spacer's mounted on mine at first but it seemed like their was to much gap. I removed them and it seem's much better.

But looking over the manual it dose look like the spacer is needed with that setup. Do you have a spare gear?

My Posts This: Topic  Forum		ordered one today - it i'll be here tomorrow.

I did notice when I stripped the heli down - there was movement on the bottom plate where the 2 socket head bolts screw into the middle engine mount.... and they had no washers on them - opps?

Maybe the slightest of movements to the engine mounts caused my stripped gearing - having washers on those 2 socket head bolts would have killed any movement.

I'm guessing here?

Had just trimmed the vBar and a pal of mine took the Tx to have a go. He turned up the 'wellie' and the main gear COMPLETELY STRIPPED during some tic tocs

Got away with a couple of broken skid supports but it could have been major.

What's going on
