For 6S1P 5000Mah

Your going to need more than that to power a raven for the flying you like to do.

If you do a search you will find a few conversion in RR.

Here is some others...http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=266753

http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=327138

You should find enough info to come up with some sort of E-Frankenstein

http://www.helifreak.com/showthread.php?t=91812&page=3

you have swifts, why do you want to do this conversion?

With the battery power you want to use your better off with the swift 550/620.

Cheers,
Raven

Look what your 620 can do with a smaller motor than you got

http://vimeo.com/5796286

your 4025 1100kv Is going blow you away! Should be more power than in that video, even with a flybar!

Why Convert ?

Why not !
If it is do-able with existing parts
With out going broke: How hard is it to cut 2 CF plates for a lower frame.

I can make a fiberglass template and get 1 CF copy made at a local shop

Yes - the "01" series is a great series to use on any FBL system. And 550 size blades are a much better load with the proper gearing for a 6S power system.

The 600mm to 620mm blades are better suited to the 8S and 10S power systems respectively.

Custom frames for the battery...NOW I like the idea of this.

You should try to make it so you can fit anywhere from 6s 5000 or double them up for 6s 10000mah or 12s 5000mah

If you want any kind of power for 3D at least go 8S. A couple of 4s 4000mah would be the best for power to weigh in a E-raven IMO.

Then you wont have to upgrade your charger

That is very impressive work did you make the frames yourself ?

9lbs is a little heavy
gotta be a way to reduce it to 7lbs or 3,178 grams

600 gram battery
300 gram motor
100 gram ESC
servos ~50 grams each X 4 200grams
and radio equipment 100 grams
Total about so far 3100 grams

bare frame weighs ?

I did not make the frames but I did make all the aluminium parts. Was going to run 10s2pA123 so thats alot of weight just in batteries. Honestly I forget why I stopped on the thing. Time and money time and money

funny how you never seem to have both " time or money"

The reason I am thinking of using the raven
was to cut down on weight
1 plan was
(a)to remove the fan shroud
(b)design a lower carbon frame relocate the motor to the front (as seen in your pics "Fboss"
mount battery up front and radio stuff in the rear.
(c) make all this work with current parts in production
