My Posts This: Topic Forum | Thinking of gutting my Blade 400 ...and installing electronics on a copter x kit....the blade has finally pissed me off with its phantom vibrations and weak parts...as well as the local hobby shops here in cincinnati ALWAYS having every part you don't need.
The blade is tough to work on everything crammed into the frame so it looks like a stuffed suasage once you push everything inside no more room for anything.....the lower motor bearing failed and took out the windings at least I didn't crash....I feel like my axe cp experience is happening all over again ...helimax damn you to hell lol point is my money/fun ratio is nowhere near what it should be I got a DX6i , a JR 770 3D gyro and 3 hitech 65 carbonites with an ar6100 reciever to swap over then I may just sell the frame and all my spares...anyone intrested?
Copter X kit is $ 60.00 Motor+ESC+BEC is is $ 30.00
So 90.00 and a few spares and I have a kick butt heli which I get to build never done that ...
As a side note I can get the copter X head and tail set for 40.00 has anyone done this with a blade and how did it work out?
I am just to the point I need a physically bigger heli so I can see it half my crashes are from a loss of orientation..the other half from a gyro not acting right due to vibes.....the blade is a bitch to work on no room...
Can I use my 11.1 1800 turnigys for this heli ...with what result short flight times? Puffed packs ??? just curious.
I see why the align guys in my club don't have much to say about the blade it fly's great when it is dialed in when it's not. I just am sick of wrenching on it it's tuaght me alot about helis trying not to bash it.
Anyone feel free to chime in I am looking for feedback, I would buy align but I can't dump any more money into this hobby on that level ....right now who knows if I'll still have a job in 6 mos ...I digress..
