| That's pretty cool, I'd have to look at the thickness of stock tape, but you don't want to be to thick for electric, nor to thin for nitro on gyros for sure, especially with vstabi. Do you have a durometer level on your tape at all?

I really have allot of experience with all kinds of thin foams and adhesives. Many thousands of different parts and applications. We actually made the motor mounts for the Tesla and many other Poron parts. A lot of development went into the gyro adhesives. Different thickness's and formulations. Currently we use 4701-50 formulation Poron at .125" thick. Noticeable stability in our tests. Durometer is shore "A" 18. Its much more complex than that with this material though. You have seen the commercials with the wine glass and the bowling ball on the urethane foam mattresses.... Its very shock absorbent. We use 3M 9485PC as the bond. They use this stuff to bond metal coils. Its the best money can buy. I'm sure that Justin who will receive the new adhesive for the MiniV-bar will let us know how it performs. |
