This post is to introduce HeliBadd Custom Hobby Products to the RunRyder forum. My name is Ron Oyler but you find me here and there as Lasershop going back many years. CO2 laser cutting is what I have done for a living in my own shop for 15 years now. Got the helicopter bug a couple years ago and since then I have been doing what I always do.. not leaving well enough alone. Seems everything I have ever had ends up being totally polished, plated and in general blinged out to the hilt. Do it all myself and its just my thing. My heli's are no exception. Our local flyers all liked what I had made and now we are in a full production offering many designs and custom parts. I always liked the long and low NorCal style of custom bikes and cars as far back as I remember.

My fin sets represent my vision of "outside of the box" style all designed in CAD and all CNC laser cut. Our fin sets are much larger than stock and give a much more scale appearance. The 700 class sets are nearly 3 times larger than stock. All are manufactured using custom made G-11 material made to our specification. G-11 has a greater strength than the more common G-10. Also a lot more expensive. My 15 years of laser cutting for many prototype and product development companies, big and small and working with their engineers have brought a lot of design and material experience to the HeliBadd product line. The dual skids sets are original custom designs and as far as I know the only ones available. Skid sets are CAD designed and laser cut from the finest Delrin available. The Trex sets are engineered to fit the stock chassis like none other.

Our growing line of foam adhesives is very unique. I got the idea from the tens of thousands of vibration isolator parts we make for out customers. Chances are your cell phone, PDA or GPS unit has some of our Poron products in it. We use genuine Poron as the dampener in the 50 formulation. The adhesive is the best 3M high performance acrylic adhesive money can buy. It actually gains adhesion on a molecular level over a few days when applied. Most all gyro tapes offered just stick and that's it. We laser cut the adhesive per design which eliminates nearly 2 thirds of the vibration transferring footprint right off the bat. Engineered! You buy the best gyro you can afford, the best servo, maybe a special gyro mount and you depend on just any hunk of tape to stick it on? You can do better.

Here are a few pics of some new helicopters outfitted with all we have to offer. These heli's are all polished, plated, anodized and all painted in house but our products look every bit as striking on a bone stock helicopter. Products can be ordered from our website at http://helibadd.com.

This is a Trex 450 V2 with the torque tube conversion. It has a Scorpion HK-2221-6 V2 Brushless Motor and a Scorpion Commander V2 60amp ESC. JR 285MG cyclic's. It is equipped with a Futaba 401 Gyro and a JR digital tail servo. The fin set is the HeliBadd Avenger 450 with a prototype chassis mini wing. Our extended battery mount and our chassisis skirt set hides the wiring well. This heli also features our custom Dual Skid set.

This is a 500 with a Scorpion HK-3026 Brushless Motor and an Align 100 amp ESC. JR DS3517MG cyclic's. It is equipped with a Futaba 520 Gyro and a JR Z9100S tail servo. The fin set is the HeliBadd Viper 500 with a prototype chassis mini wing. This heli also features our custom Trex 500 Dual Skid set.

If you have any questions or possible applications feel free to ask.

Hmm like the laser cut gyro pad idea for sure. You should consider making some for the Vstabi gyro as well for sure, as some or rather many nitro applications sometimes take some fiddling with zeal tape and so fourth, and perhaps what you have may be a good option if you offered it in a few thicknesses, just a thought for you.

...Once upon a time there were Nitros, flybars and frequency pins...

Looked into this.. I can find the Mikado MIK4010 V-Bar Flybarless Stabilization System. Looks like a two part gyro/brain unit. I can find the MIK4238 Mini V-Bar Flybarless Stabilization System. I cant seem to find any documentation on dimensions for either. Easy for us to offer a custom adhesive if anyone could point me where I could find exact dimensions.
