I just purchased an eagle 50. Is this heli truely capable of doing 3d maneuvers? I am a newbie and I would to know how much more I can learn on the heli beside hovering. Thanks.

Wow! This little heli is so much better than a rotofly that I tried last week. Hovering was no so bad but the wind blows this tiny thing around. I am flying it in my backyard at the moment. The space I have available to fly in is about 20'x20'. I feel confined when the wind kicks up because it goes all over the place. So far, 4 full flights and one light crash. It survived. I have to thank you know who for that save. Anyways, if the are any intermediate to pro who would browse this part of the forum, I would really like to know your input. Thanks.

from personal experience, to make this heli be 3d capable, would take a few hundred bucks. even then, you still have a heli that's very unstable. this was my first heli and it did get me hooked, but now that i have experience, it was junk. no offense, but you'll spend enough on this heli to buy a couple of trex 450's that will be 100 times the quality and stability. walkera electronics are essetially junk. i had some D.O.A. and other fail in flight after a couple flights. i thought i sucked as a pilot, but now that i can fly, this heli is still a handfull. if you've learned to hover with it, and you buy a better heli, you'll be amazed and wish you'd never put any money into this one. good luck and if you need any help just let me know. if you're like me you can't just run out and buy the best right off, but in helis you buy smart, buy once, and it is definately true you get what you pay for. if you get really frustrated, sell it and use the money to go into a decent 450 size heli or even a 50 size (recommended) and you'll be so hooked on this hobby, you'll never leave. good luck and pm me if you have any questions about your heli.

fly it like you stole it
