Kasama Srimok 90 > Do Srimok servo "wheels" only fit JR and Futaba servos?

I saw in the build thread that the Srimok has servo horns for JR or Futaba servos. Do these horns fit other brand servos as well? Hitec/Align/Ino Labs? I know that plastic horns can be jammed on and you think they will work but when you put a load on them they can slip (ask me how I know) but these are metal to metal, they have to be perfect. Thanks

I believe align and ace servos use futaba wheels and arms.

Man, I miss the eighties.

I have used the Futaba blue horns successfully on the ALign 610 servos - they are a bit tight and you have to pull them down onto the splines using the servo arm screw - removal requires a bit of careful levering with a ball link plier

Well, they may be a perfect match then, in my experience aluminum servo horns are usually a very tight fit on the servos they are designed for. Specifically, I am hoping to hear a yeah or neigh about the Hitec servos, no sense waiting on the new 8v heli servos if I can't use them anyway!

+1 hitecs are different

however, i believe that the aligns are sligthly bigger than the futabas and couldn't get them blue ones to go in 100% into my aligns 610s.

i found this on the quick uk aluminum wheels and single arm servo horns as well. once i forced them into the aligns, they wont fit into futaba nicely anymore. i experienced this during swapping my futabas to align and back again.

Born to fly, forced to work

Hitec servos output shafts are very slightly different from JR - in practice you do seem to be able to fit JR arms onto Hitec OP shafts

Srimok

I would not use JR arms on Hitec servos, there not the same, when I race cars some of the guys would put JR arms on Hitec servos and after 4 or 5 races they would strip.(not the gears but output shaft)Bobby

Yes, i've also seen JR arms slip when used on Hitec Servos, they fit but not well enough.

Savox are the same servo as the Align, just use the blue Futaba arms.

I ended up getting JR 8717 and Futaba BLS servos. Plus an Align 610 for throttle.

Typically there are two splines Futaba ,JR . No matter what servo you are using either the blue or red will work .

I dont know how to fly just how to not crash !!!!!
