Hello,

Sorry for the boring title

I was wondering if any of you found any skid stopper (or slider), which is highly visible (like the one pictured below for TT).

I am trying to learn inverted in all orientation, and having a hard time doing it with the black skids. Even with my little T-rex, I am using Floroscent colored skids, and they are very visible - and helps me in orientation quite a bit.

I am hoping some of you found them. I would prefer hard stuff, since they are easier to slide with during autos. But, if there is none, then I am open to the rubberized ones.

cheers ... khan

Most skids have either an 8mm diameter or a 10mm diameter. There are two sizes of these stops that are universal for the either the 8mm or 10mm skids.

So if they fit a TT heli with 8mm skids then they will fit the ones on your Swift which also have 8mm skids.

thank you very much Old Fart.

now the hard part, where can i buy floroscent/neon colored skid stoppers (for 8mm)? i looked at three local hobby stores, none of them had it. i tried on ebay and on readyheli ... they had them for 50 sized birds, not for the Swift's skids

any suggestions?

cheers, khan

Khan, try the Raptor 30 skids. They are stronger as well as white....easy to see. You can also try the JR Vibe 50 skids and they are ~6.........Ron

KSJ (from Horizon)used to have them for 8m skids, and they may still.

Any that I have used quickly lost their "flourescent" tint from exposure to sunlight.

So now I use exhaut tubing (looks a lot like big fuel tubing) from my local hobby shop.

I can get enough to do 6 or 7 models for the price of one set of the flourescent units.

thanks for your post Jamesppp

i checked the links, but they are for 7mm rods. will they work on swift's skids? oldfart had mentioned that they are 8mm, i don't have the bird with me right now, so can not reconfirm.

did you end up drilling or just force them in?

khan
