You've heard about it, you've probably even asked about it. And if you were there last year, you said you were to coming back.
Well I am pleased to finally announce the 2009 Heli-Invasion!!
On October 2 - 4, 2009, the Heli-Invasion will once again take place at Robbie Campbell Memorial Airfield, just outside of Fredericksburg, VA. Which is conveniently located an hour from Washington, DC and Richmond, VA.
Last year's event was second-to-none and featured many of today's hottest pilots, educational seminars and even some unbelievable events like the Balloon Chase. And this year will be a bigger, badder repeat of last year's event.
With so many pros to watch and learn from, how could it not be awesome. Already we have confirmed: Jared Granzow Marcus Kim Nick Maxwell Bert Kammerer Curtis Youngblood Henry Caldwell
And a few more coming in the next few days.
So mark your calendars, get the car packed and head to the 2009 Heli-Invasion.
To see what you missed last year, check out this video:
Will there be some type of FAI clinic at this one? I think last year you were going to have a FAI station setup, but not sure if that ever happened, or if it did happen and I missed it.

Yes last year we did have a FAI clinic. Nick Maxwell flew through the maneuvers while Curtis narrated.
This year we plan on doing the same thing (a clinic) and we will probably hold a mini-Class I contest for those that want to do it. I am still sorting out those details, but they will be posted as soon as I can nail them down.
I'll go all the way this time on the Class 1 instead of just qualifying. If you can make it happen before dinner, and Clay enters....(his last chance to bring it).
Wow, I heard this was a great event last year. I only wish it wasn't on my wife's birthday.
I'll tell ya what. If the dates of the Heli-Invasion are anyones birthday, anniversary, etc and you bring that person (like your wife in this case). I will make sure we make the weekend "extra special and memorable" for that person.
However, in order to qualify for the "extra special and memorable" part, you need to email me at info@heli-invasion.com and tell me the name of the person and occasion. And I will be sure to make it "extra special and memorable"
One word, SHOPPING, there is a huge outlet mall right down the street, and the hotels are right there as well. So, bargain out a few hours of shopping each day so you can go to the fun fly for a few hours as well
