If you searched all my threads then you know I've only been at this a very short time and I think I'm doing really well for myself.

its pretty dumb to fly a heli when you cant see it, your main gear looks like its not been set correctly and has stripped

It melted. The set screw in the pinion crumbled and most of it had fallen out.The pinion was slipping and got hot.
All the fasteners that come with the kit are brittle.

Did I say I couldn't see it?I don't recall saying anything like that.
I wouldn't fly if I couldn't see it.

Mechanic eh? well there is your problem, its not about "torquing them up" like with a car dude OH AS FOR IGNORING ME well I can still change my posts funny thing is you wont see it....... I really hate people who like to wade in and blame the equipment before themselves..... you are the only person who seems to have had this much hassle with this bird....

I don't over tighten them. They break easily. Two fingers on the driver.

I'm kinda new to helis but I've been a mechanic most of my life and probably have more experience with mechanical fasteners than most people you'll ever meet.

I don't know what you mean by "All these hassles"....

I broke a grub in the pinion so it was slipping and overheated.
A screw broke in the tail and slung a blade. The blade grips were factory installed by the way.

The main shaft came bent.Never even got installed.
The torque tube was bent but usable.
The blades you get with the kit are so imperfect they look like a sock full of cottage cheese.Well, one did.The other is OK looking.
The canopy was warped all to hell and cracked in two places.
There were no threads in one of the flybar paddles.
The auto rotation gear was not round.Checked with calipers and it's oblonged by 1.5mm.
One of the carrier bearings for the main shaft was all but locked up.
All this stuff was like that in the box.

None of this stuff has anything to do with a build.Just crappy stuff.
The grub in the pinion could have been avoided maybe.Maybe not.

Flasher is still low cost..

I own a flasher 500. And i cannot deny that for ease of mind, purchasing align parts to replace some of it would be good. To be honest my whole tail unit from blades to the plastic tail blocks are all align. Actually i didnt need to change the whole tail but due to some wrong purchases, i committed on align products, i had to change everything to make it worth the trouble.
Technically i own a half align and half phoenix product. But i have no regrets in getting the flasher, all in all, i still have a wonderful heli at half the cost of a t-rex.
Not to be bias, i fly the Align 450 SE V2 and the Raptor 50 Titan. So this 500 size heli is quite good enough for all the hard flying.

T-REX SE
RAPTOR 50Titan
Flasher 500
9XII(2.4)
Its all fun & games till the bill comes

post some pics of the blades

I was going to but the texture doesn't show in the pic.
They are also soft and squishy(like foamies)by the root. One more than the other.

Nope a photo won't show it.
They're all pitted with air bubbles and there's a lightning bolt looking line down the middle where there may be a dowel or something.
They just look white in a pic.

Maybe I could use a piece of paper and do a charcoal rub of them.
I'll look into that.Don't know if I have anything to use.

Hey coops,if you want to pay postage,I'll send them to you.
I certainly don't want them.
