Hi Can you folks with a srimok tell me how close your bevel pinion gear is to the top elevator bearing mount bolt (2.5x6).

Seems that the bearing mount could of benefited by being back approx 3mm.

Opinion?

What is your gap?

Thanks

If it ain't broke then break it.

Mines the same, just looked and yes its close , have run a gallon through it with no problems
Trying to get drawing up , but think maybe button head bolts would be better , never noticed this main gear in the way now , but rotated gear till gear cut out was over bevel, and yes can see bolt just off from touching bevel , is clear, but still very close

sorry guys my camera isn't very good.

Spurdy how close is close?

I think it would have benefited by moving elevator bearing back about 3mm

I also thought maybe button head bolts.

Will try and take more pictures but if you look at yours you will see the head of the bolt nearly touching the bevel pinion gear

thanks

yea mine is very close , but sure its fine , flown a gallon off fuel and there are no signs off wearing on bolts or pinion gear, other than that button head bolts would give more clearance

The trick is to have a spot centre focus weighting - set up in your camera menu then pre-focus the point of interest before taking the picture - digital cameras defintely need some help to take good pictures ! HAving said that this is a real difficult shot - although the clearance is only a mm or so I too have had no chaffing with the gears so think it's OK
