Hello

Tony has a good point. The observed current peaks(power when you consider voltage) is not an indication of whats going to the rotor head.

If this was the case my setup wouldn't be considered a good one and neither would Jamie Robertson's... We are both using the Neu 1915 motor on 12s and both mine and his setups are pretty much unboggable...and I wouldnt consider our setup to be the most powerful setup either. Ive seen them with Xera's and Scorpion motors that looked to have a tad more pep but stay cooler after the flight.

A true representation is how consistant the head speed stays during a flight. If you wanted 2k head speed, and the HS is +/- 30RPM during the flight(no matter how hard you beat it) then you have a very solid setup and the needed power is getting to the shaft which is where it counts.

A reading of 11HP could actually be a miss commutation(or something else) which would create the huge spike in current at the given voltage.

Just a though...

Carlo
