had mine for 18 month`s, had alot of quality issue`s with the gyro, esc, and the servo`s.

but after spending over 400 buck`s on quality part`s i now have a decent flying heli.
would i buy one again? NOWAY.

i have put atleast 5 batteries aday for the first 11 month`s, the last 7 month`s i can say 10 batteries for atleast 5 day`s a week. the last month, maybe 10 batteries total. but im back to work so my flying time has been reduced to almost nothing.

crash`s come easy patience`s doesnt

The Blade 400 is a decent bird. You cannot get much for them if you decide to sell so I'm, keeping mine to fly without worring about crashes. It's inexpensive to repair and maintain.

In stock form it does not fly very well compared to other more expensive brands. I'm not gonna upgrade becaused I'd rather spend the money on something else.

I do enjoy flying it. I keep a lot of cheap Hobbycity lipos on hand and it is great to try need things out on and is a good compliment to the sim. My LHS keeps parts in stock also.

If you can get one used in good shape it's a good value. New not so much. A new and much better flying Titan e325 can be had for just a little over a $100 bucks and can be made ready to fly esp if you already have a TX for around $450. About the price of a Blade 3D.

good old b400

yeah I still fly my 400. I upgraded the servos and gyro, and put some cf blades on it. Now I,m building a 500 and can't wait to get it up in the air. but I got no plans on getting rid of my 400, with the new gyro and servos(a must) the bird fly's great. Practice on the 400 and show off on the 500. That's the plan.....

118 Flights since this spring, 46 with the Huey body. Had five flights at the Michigan Whirlybirds Funfly at Goodell's last Sunday . Haven't had any problems with any of the stock equipment. I've been trying to make it look scale when flying so I'm not pushing the stock servos and gyro very hard at all.

Crashed mine real bad last Saturday. Was practicing my nose in when this happened:
While at a altitude of about 20' and about 20 yards out I was nosing in very slow. While nosing in I I came right in front of the sun. So now I lost sight of the bird i let off a little collective to bring it down a little. When it finally came in sight "holy crap it's inverted and falling." Aft cyclic to pull out of it I didn't get there fast enoght with the slow momentum. Well to make a long story short when it hit the ground it hit nose first while picking up speed. Destroying the canopy, skids, carbon fiber blades, feathering shaft. main shaft, main gear and battery. I now have my T-rex aluminum skids which are a little higher for the grass. I have align feathering shaft that I used 6 shims on each side, fits rock solid. I also have fiber glass 335mm blades on there that are wow. My 400 is now smoother than its ever been before. Oh I also bought some mystery 2200 mah lypos from: http://stores.shop.ebay.com/Tesla-R-C__W0QQ_armrsZ1 for only $43. These guys are in the US and they delivered in 3 days. If your wondering I got my 335mm fiberglass blades from www.Xheli.com for $4.00 holy cheap. They also have deals on Carbon Fibers.
