At IRCHA this week and spoke with the reps from MSH and they pulled out a bin full of new parts to replace the problem areas of the Protos such as the tail servo holder which has been beefed up.
I got a set and hope they work out better than the originals.

They also upgraded their canopy with a different material that is virtually break proof and half the weight of the fiberglass canopy.
I believe it is the same weight of the original.

The only difference which I don't think would show in any pic's is that is a little thicker and ribbed for strength.

The canopy looks exactly the same as the original but he squeezed it in his hands and completely folded it in half and not a scratch.

I forgot they did beef up the tail case as well.

A little thicker and ribbed for strength.

I was hoping they at least had a few "bling" pieces to display. Since Corrado said Sept was bling month. Some hints at the new helis would have been nice too.

I don't know who makes it but is the metal flybar seesaw any good? The plastic one seem very flimsy.

Corrado also brought the flybarless conversion to show. It still uses the current head, but has a longer spindle and wider spacers as well as linkage ball standoffs for the grips that thread right into the grip.

You couldn't see it after Friday afternoon, Luigi planted it
It had the new polycarbonate canopy on it when he ripped the main shaft out of the machine on a low inverted pass... Canopy barely had a scratch on it... They are very tough.

Corrado and Davide spent a lot of time wrenching on customers machines and repairing crashes by Luigi, he was flying them hard!

Also on hand were some new versions of the ESC, new hardware and firmware.

No bling was on display, but there are just a few things on the way, like mixers, servo mounts, etc...

Luigi must have been the guy in the "overseas too short pants" and glasses. I wondered who he was cause he was beating on the Protos' and putting on a great show. It's a good thing i didn't have mine with me for it to see his fly. Mine would have been asking me what's my problem.

Hi guys,

Corrado was kind enough to give me this canopy at IRCHA this year...

It matches the Red Devils perfectly.

Thanks Corrado,
G

Thats the newest FG canopy - CF paint scheme.

The new platics have a completely different design. The prototypes were black/lime green/white

I just received the new fg design. I was hoping the new plastic canopies had a similar paint scheme.

And, the new lexan canopies have a clear area that the owner can paint any color they wish. Similar to RC car/truck bodies. Super cool! There must be pictures around somewhere...

Regards,
G

I was hoping the new lexan canopies had some bright paint schemes. I give up painting my own, they always turn out pretty bad.

There will be different versions of the lexan.

Some will be completely pre-painted and others will have a clear portion that allows for individual customization.

Hi guys
Painting lexan on the inside is super easy as the clear lexan gives a perfect gloss finish. There is no sanding or filling or priming. Just a wash to remove any grease or oil.

There are also many colours to pick from. Dries quick too. Entire job should be 15 min.

Regards
Paul
