There is hope for the QJ's... just spotted two EP-9 flyers today in Zurich, Switzerland. None of them knew RunRyder... so, there are probably plenty of QJ's flying all over the world - those guys did just no join the RR forum... ;-)

I think he meant that they did not know about RR. There are possibly hundreds that fly Q of J but don't get on the forums.

Exactly, Clive.
Most European pilots are on European forums. According to the only Swiss QJ dealers (www.andi66.com and www.virusflyer.ch), they sell "pretty well" here. Whatever "pretty well" means in terms of sold kits... but probably very few of those pilots are on RunRyder, but on other forums (if at all).
Cheers,
FunKey

Maybe we need to go on those forums and let them know about the Q of J forum on RR so they can expand to the rest of the world.

Difficult... all relevant European forums are in local language, so German, Italien, Spanish etc. - except UK, of course...

Most relevant in the German-speaking area: http://www.rc-heli-fan.org/ and www.rc-heli.de

Note: There is no official dealer for QJ in Germany anymore... there used to be one until 2005, but he took the EP-8 out of stock due to bad selling.

He must love them considering the amount of time he must have spent designing etc.
I look forward to being able to order some new frames with tail fins if possible.
Thanks Twinring

I'm guilty too...

My SP has been down for a really long time, especially after I decided to pick up a Blade400 and do some basic mods too it. Since I'm still very green when it comes to flying, its way easier to crash my blade run down to my LHS and replace parts. That's partly the reason why my SP is still down. Hopefully I'll get off my lazy bum and fix it. but since its a SP, 3D flying is out of the question for it. Which leads me to my plausible goal, SCALE! Has anyone tried scale fuselages for their helicopters? I found a 500 sized Seaking for TREX 500. I'd love to try it but really hesitant to spend 500 dollars on it only to find the SP mechanics wont fit\work. What do you guys think?

Does anybody close to you have a Trex 500 that you could measure to see if the EP8 SP will fit in the fuse??

my uncle actually has 3 TREX 500's. I'll do some measuring when I visit him again. heres the link to the seaking fuse
here

I might actually postpone my scale idea, and perhaps flying in general, and focus more of my attention into RC touring car racing
