My Posts This: Topic Forum | I'll second that guys. I was full throttle with planks, then helis (and planks) for several years. I grew up with them, but was too busy with sports to do a lot with my dad when I was in school. So later, it was R/C full out for about 5 years (and I mean everyday in the field across from my house). Then I fell into dirtbikes, which I always wanted to do but growing up my parents never allowed. Almost overnight all of my energy went into riding and eventually racing (hare scrambles) and then traveling every weekend to race. R'C stuff just sat and one day I looked around and it was all all gone. Never really noticed that I was throwing it out, giving it away, etc. Had some really nice stuff too. Raced the bike for 8 or 9 years after that. Now I haven't raced or ridden in several years (no place to practice and I'm getting older) and R/C has me again. I think if you do anything with a passion, you have to give it a rest once in a while or risk losing interest forever. I know my bike still sits in my friends garage, she'll fire on first kick. That b***ch just winks at me when I walk by!!! Biggest problem is my best friend (he's brother to me) was in all of this stuff with me. He's still racing. He's trying to get me racing again and I'm trying to get him back into RC again!!! |
