Hi
Has anyone tried setting up an e550 or 620 on mikado v bar, im currently running v bar on my trex 500 but that comes with pre programmed settings, where as with the e raptor and 90 deg swash I would have to make up the settings, anyone with feed back please post. Oh and I would be using the rjx head.

cheers
Pete

I have a SK360 and it was very easy to setup, the basic or 3D files works great with a Raptor. Both 90 degree and 140 degree work great.

I have heard that the V-Bar is very difficult if you are not an expert and you can easily crash if you don’t get it right. Are you sure that they support 90 degree swashplates?

Yep, you can pick what ever swash plate setup you wish as it can be moved around in degrees, I have vbar on my trex so im not really a stranger to the software but im not to sure how to set the parameters for the raptor. My raptor currently has the kasama head, how does your raptor fly with the flybarless you have.

thanks
Pete

It’s like night and day when you convert to flybarless. After flying flybarless for a while and go back to the flybar it’s just not as much fun. With flybarless you have better cyclic rates and 3D is a lot easier. It’s easier to do 3D without falling of to one side. The SK360 has very pilot oriented computer interface and allows you to set the cyclic you want in degrees per second.

I have tried several different heads and I like the Kasama Cyber head setup on the Type 2 configuration. That gives the lowest head and the best performance. The cheaper RJX head is good but I like the smoothness and ability to easily adjust the height of the Kasama Cyber head the best.

I sure with that Kasama would make a Cyber head that would fit my Raptor 90.

Thanks for the feed back, I just looked up the price of the kasama head and its twice the price of the rjx head for me, I can get the rjx head for $145 aussie dollars it does make it a very tempting option. Now just need to sort out the v stabi software, the arms on the side of the raptor for the swash drive, are they a ratio arm?

E550 with Vbar

I have an E550 with the Vbar installed. I made some adapters for the frame to allow using a Compass 120 degree swash plate. The 90 degree or 140 degree TT set up should also work. Set up is not that difficult with the Vbar. Pick a preset heli that is close to the E550 and in the swash menu select the proper swash/ servo set up to match the swash orintation you will use. I run a Scorpion 4025-1100, Hyperion 4200 35c batteries (2 ea 3 cell in series. A great flying setup

@ heliguy273

Can you post a picture? (Especially about your 120* set-up and flybarless head)

How do you like your Hyperion batteries?

Cheers Marc

e550 vbar

working on getting photos here. Can find them but can't ket them to show with the post. It is a matter of relocating the left/ right cyclic bellcranks so the verticle links are directly under it corresponding swash ball. A 060 alum. plate is match drilled to a side plate using it's holes to locate holes in these plates. Then locate a new bell crank pivot hole in these plates to match. The 600 size head (10mm shaft) bobby at rr sells works perfect. Tou have to use 2 button head 3mm long screws to mount the bellcranks in there new position to clear the frame on the inside. Works great! Anyone interested could contact me via e-mail for photos.
