Used both and I think the 16T is better for the SR. Just my humble opinion.

My Posts This: Topic  Forum		Only thing is the 15 tooth gear will put the motor out of its rpm range if you are not careful. The 15 tooth is for higer RPM range motorsa like O.S. I know there is alot of people running a Y.S. like that but the 16 tooth gear was made for that reason. Just my two cents. No need in over reving the motor.

My Posts This: Topic  Forum		I went and bought a 16 tooth pinion after asking the same question on my 91 st. I was told to run a 16 tooth on it. So the ST has to run on 15? Man, if so then I wasted 38 bucks. GEEZS

It depends on the head speed and putting the motor at the right rpm or power band with the exhaust you have. If you want to run the ST above 1950 then use the 16T. If you want to run the SR above 1850 then use the 16T.
