Glad you liked it.... that was the warm up flight!!!! So I just let it "rip" a little, but I keep hearing this voice (PETER WALES) telling me to slow it down!!!!!!( )
From the sounds of it you are very close to having it right and that setting on the elev gyro will make a huge difference in what you will be flying.... also, I have mine a bit nose heavy (if nitro on an empty tank) the nose is down about 1" when lifted from the CG....then trim you front pitch to match what you need in a hover and your first slow forward....but always be ready to add down on the right stick, but I have found that the real trick is to add the forward elevator and ADD a little PITCH at the same time to get that nose to come back down, and you will be flying in no time!!!!!!

Nice job and the rest of it is PRACTICE!!!!!!
.... come to find out though, that it was my ELEV GYRO GAIN had a unexplained value in it.... I am running at 75% gain hi and lo and it works great
