I agree, the worst thing about the Swift is the ugly canopy. I have seen a few potential buyers turned off when they have a look at it. Century would sell a few more if they had a more conventional looking canopy.

Hey...I have grown to like the look of the Swift 16 canopy.

But I must admit that I like the Swift 620SE canopy a lot better.

I like it too. If you cut the bottom out a little, you can do battery changes without taking it off. I think that is actually a giant plus. My other heli's need to have the canopy removed for a battery change.

I bet if you put the decals on, it would look a lot better.

I have even used Monokote trim sheets to make up my own designs to stick on it.

The orange actually matches the tail boom. It now has kbdd tailblades that match too.. Makes it easy to see. Maybe i'll try another picture in the sun later. Graphics from Callie Graphics.

I do the same with the MonoKote, that's why I like electrics......

Or do it Right with Callie Graphics, like Greybirds' bird can't go wrong!

Yes, Callie Graphics does a lot of neat stuff.

But I also like the latest standard Swift decals, and like someone mentioned earlier. Any type of stick decal or graphics may not last too well on a nitro hei due to the fuel getting ubder it, they do last well with electrics.

Plastic canopy.. Pirhana freak. Add the Century helicopter name on the boom, and get some orange for the end of the boom. It was 5 extra bucks. It is the same color in real life.

here's a freebee for some...go to your local sign maker as they ALWAYS have vinyl remnants to throw out after making signs.

That's a good tip and think I'll check that one out. I haven't decided how to do my Swift canopy's yet. Not vinyl, but I often create graphics with my laser printer on adhesive print paper, apply and seal with clear coat.

Thanks.....

I still have it and was my first heli however; the best part is that my girl (my better 3 quarters) of nine years bought it for me to return to the hobby.

I'd say they are both keepers!

I like the canopy, but definitely needs to be detailed and personalized. Greybird's is nicely done especially with the extra details......

piranhafreak, were you looking for one in fiberglass?
