Both motors are fine. I have had the YS SR and now a OS HZ. Plus many others in the past.

outrage pipe

Ya know, I have been a big supporter of hatori pipes for about 15yrs now. The quality is second to none (except the finish). But now I am running an Outrage. And I must say, the Outrage will be the pipe I use from now on. The performance matches the hatori and the price plus 50% crash replacement make the purchase a no-brainer.

No issues with the baffles? I've heard the same thing you are saying.. makes them very attractive..
BUT there are almost as many baffle nightmare stories here as the Align.

also OP if you decided on the OS skip the Hatori/Outrage adn go for the Mp6.. supposed to be badass for the OS.

No issues with baffles here. Most reports if not all are on the 50 size pipe. Havent heard of any on the 90size.

I'm running the YS91SR and the SB19 hatori pipe as well. Pretty damn good power if I must say so. Haven't run the OS91HZ but would probablt buy one if I ever can get into another N9. The YS has a nice sound to it with the hatori pipe tucked inside of the frame of the N9. I used the same combo briefly on a stratus and the sound coming out of the n9 is alot more of a robotic hum and is much more appealing to my ears. It pulls nicely and even tuned a bit on the rich side produces power to send the n9 rocketing through the air. It's enough fun to make a guy burn through 9 gallons of fuel in 20 days. That should count for something.

I have two N9's with both engines, SR and HZ(no pump) with Hatori pipes.

Both motors have their pros and cons. The SR is a 1900hs motor and the HZ is a 1950hs motor.

I like the way the Hatori mounts to the YS better since the SR has a different mounting system for the muffler. The HZ is fine too, I just like the YS better on that note.

Both are easy to start once tuned well and fairly consistent as a nitro motor can be.

If you want a little more head speed, get the HZ. I will say that the SR has plenty of power at 1900hs as well so again, no real difference there either.

I can't tell the difference between the two when flying. Only difference is the sound.

They both fly the N9 on the stock gearing really well so it's up to you.

Unless you have both to compare, you won't know the difference.
