i just had my first "other peoples machine" flight (if thats what their called) on an evo .50. it was my first opm and first nitro flight from my trex 250 and my 450.

the difference was huge! i could do piro-flips much more stable and in one spot, not scattered, and autos! the best part.
i had a load of hangtime opossed to the 450, (no duh!) but they carried a lot more when it came to distance. i was bummed uot because i was half way through the header tank and only did one auto.

but IT WAS F-....IN AWSOME!!!!!!

Its not a crash, its an upgrade opportunity! and RCHover team pilot

I have a policy against flying OPMs

Let me tell you why:

Once I had a heli, a MinAir Spectra G. The a buddy insisted that I try out his T-Rex 450SE V2. Very, very reluctantly, I flew it, then gave it another try. At the end of that day I had flown some 4 packs with his 450.

...Now I have two helis. A Spectra and a T-Rex 450SE V2.

That said:
If you liked the difference from 450 to a nitro, You'd LOVE a gasser. Try one out (I'd be glad to let you fly mine, but I'm VERY far away from you), but be prepared to absolutely NEED one!

Edited

I think that he was referring to stick time; like the one you experience between the 450 and a nitro. (I think) But there are few videos of gassers doing some pretty good 3D on the net.

Have you flown a Spectra yet?

It will do anything a nitro can (on a different timing of course). But this is very personal and depending on what you want to do then yes, electrics and nitros are your thing, no question about it.

But my reply was based on what you said that impressed you, as per your comment below:

Gassers are unbeatable in those (and a few other) qualities. If you were impressed with a nitro's stability, auto & hang time, you'd be amazed with a gasser.

well if you dont belive me, then you go do piroflips and tic-tocks without bogging.

and i would get a vid up IF I KNEW HOW TO!!!!

i dont have a youtube account, and for that matter, i dont even know how to take them from my camra and put it on here

Edit:

and i guess you could call that "hard 3D" maybe..... and it bogged more then the orginal nitro.

helidevil, There is no shame in telling the truth, you are not impressing anyone with fabrications. Be honest with yourself and others and people will respect you more. It is a VERY difficult hobby, if you make "extreme 3D claims" you should be able to back them up with Video--- Thats all I'm saying, I'm trying to be Nice

Spectra G is a great heli and very capable. OK, it doesn't have the power to weight ratio so it's not the best smack down heli, but with good accurate control, it can do just about anything you ask of it and it won't bog in piroflips or tictocs if you don't want it to !
