I haven't flown my Swift since last season but now getting the itch. My only surviving pack (had 2 emoli packs, both deceased) is a TrueRC 6S 4000maH which still works but is showing it's age. I don't fly 3D and my average current draw is around 25A. What's a good inexpensive pack for my needs? I also have a 1/5 scale J-3 that I'm finishing up that will use the same pack so I'll probably get at least 2 packs.

Go to hobbycity the packs there are a great value. 1/2 the cost of other big brands after the shipping. The zippy blue packs are fantastic and like I said very affordable. You can get the lower C rated packs dirt cheap for the amp draw you fly at.

here is one example this is a 20C they have 15C even cheaper

Thanks. I'll have to check them out. What does the shipping run? I don't have a Paypal account so I guess I'd have to use Western Union. Prices are certainly worth taking a chance. From what I've read on them most seem to have good luck with them.

I have had that battery for my swift since Jan this year. Works just as good as my flight power and is lighter with heavier gauge wiring. It was 76 bucks when I bought it wo they have come down a little and 3 day shipping was 36 bucks. EMS is the best shipping method because of the superior tracking abilities. Air Parcel offers no real tracking. Same as Priority mail.

Hobbycity 2nd that. I use their Zippy Rhinos. Excellent battery. Balances perfectly(on my balance charger) every time. I think they are $89 for a 6S 4900. That battery holds voltage until the last few seconds!. I've hit LV cutoff more than a few times and not hurt the battery at all. It still takes back OVER 5000 mah when I do!.

Should've bought a sim. Got a bucket of used blades!

I believe the Rhino are underrated on purpose
I once put back 1650 mah into a 1750 pack
definately over the 80% margin the battery didn't show any signs of puffiness.

Rhino's are definately a great value

P.S. remind hobby city to send as gift or value less than 50$ or warranty replacement.

it will save you the duty fees

I've been busy the last 5 weeks so I haven't thought much about getting my Swift in the air. Last weekend I was at Big Sky Hobbies in Eagan MN (first time I had been there since the split) and noticed they had Turnigy packs. So I picked up a 6S 4000mah 15C/20C pack for $99. I just finished re-installing everything in the Swift but it's been raining a lot here lately. I should be able to get out to the field this weekend to check things out. We'll see how they are.
