Melon.... brilliant. Even post-crash, I didn't think of that- but if I would have, it may have lessened the damage & maybe even saved the blades (btw, I'm looking for a set of USED 690's, so pm me).
Thx again for all the ideas... when a problem happens on a 90, you DEFINITELY want to track it down... anyway, an update:
The issue was not the DX7; I flew 3 tanks yesterday on the 600 and the tx performed flawlessly.
What I think happened (and this is something I've NEVER seen before) is that after a whole lot hard flipping etc the servo wheel bolt became a bit loose -shame on me, I never checked it- and this ground down the plastic wheel splines over time until the wheel failed under high torque loads from the servo.
Lastly, by keeping the tx a couple feet from the 600 when I initialize it, I've not had any more problems.
So, when I get my 700 parts I hope a new wheel fixes things.
