OK guys im having sme motor issues after rebuilding my logo 10. I was suggested a target headspeed of 1800, which made me need to go from a 13t pinion to a 15t. I put on the 15t, rebuilt the helicopter and cleaned all the bearings. the motor was getting hot before but i figured it was the gummed up bearings. Test flight today goes bad ... Im only about 2 minutes in and Im just hovering, looking at the blade tracking and just checking everything out.

All of a sudden I see a little smoke!! ... CRAP, time to land i think, but before my fingers even react to my brain its already smoking good and the motor cuts. Amazingly from about 20' i was able to land her pretty easy. I say amazingly, not for some of yall, but I have to admit... i never practice my autos for real lol. I thought for a second I was going to have to get a fire extinguisher! I risked my neck and reached under the heli and was able to pull the battery.

Im not sure what the ESC im using is but its toast! It was on the heli when I bought it but had no markings or labels. What do you think happened? The motor was pretty hot already too, 15t pinion too big?? Im running a 4s lipo and this test was just the airframe, no camera mount. Is my Hacker C5014L just not big enough? was my ESC too small??

Your ESC can't handle the load.

Been there... Heli was on fire but surprisingly the ESC was the only damage.

All of a sudden I see

Seems to be one of the most often used pretexts in this Hobby.

In that case the Align will do you fine. I use to spin 600 on them fine at 2100 HS.

Great, the align seems like the best value compared to the prices of the other controllers. I just wanted to make sure it was reliable.

What about these?

I need a BEC since I read the align didnt have one... I was going to go lith a 2s li-po for rx power.

My Hs81mg servos seem crappy, I can push on the arms while the radio is on and it takes very very minor pressure to move the arm quite a bit. One is worse than the other 2, but they all do it. Also the servos have a lot of play when mounted with the rubber gromets, should I leave these out to take out that play or is it ok? The heli manual says to use them, just seems sloppy.
