I drove up to Northern Wisconsin from NM to visit family for the 4th. I obviously had to take my Predator "p"

The difference in power here is incredible. Everyone at this altutude needs to be flying a gasser, because the performance is really noticable. Sorry guys I just had to vent.

I envy you all at low alts - when I do travel the 450 is about all that makes it and difference even in small heli's is amazing.

I am confused.Your in wisconsin,correct? What is your new altitude compared to home. Higher or lower? Personally I think my house is 58' above sea level.

Its about 1600 ft above sea here in wisconsin, but its really humid here as im by a lake...however in ABQ its 6500 at 32F, + density altitude.

That is precisely why so many of us hesitate about giving out needle settings.

My needle settings at sea level/lower temps are different at higher altitudes/higher temps.

That is also why we have to lean real aircraft IC engines as we gain altitude and richen them as we descend.

And let's also not forget the deterioration in auto-rotation performance at the higher altitudes and temperatures.
