Is your UAV up to the task?

There's no way for a human to damp the oscillations, but the autopilot does it quite well. Everything from takeoff to landing has to be automated.

Just lifting the harness was too much for a human.

So it was a bit shocking to flip the autopilot switch & watch it settle down. No way we're lifting the flag in manual mode.

Did you fly it at night time and was it windy?

How stable is that platform without the underslung payload? I can't tell how big it is by just looking at the pictures, but I guess a 180cm rotor gasser may be able to do a better job without stabilization.

Some daylight photos & video 4 U.

This airframe is perfectly stable without a payload. Anything bigger is more stable. MD500's lift payloads all the time under human control.

that looks great, maybe add a tad-bit of weight to the bottom of the flag to keep it from going upside down...
