Actually, It was done several years ago by yours truly during the Caliber 50 project.
Caliber 30, Trim Corp conversion, custom push-pull servo tray, Correct Swash, swash driver, and Correct 3 Blade head.
Flown for an entire season, and approx. 3 gallons of fuel until a simple normal mode accident took out all 3 blades and 2 spindles on the head.
Pictures in my gallery.

Now I am thinking, time to do it again but with 2 blades...cheaper and easier.

I have great respect for Heli-cuzz in terms of set-up and, especially, flying ability.

I did this a few times in the 1980's-flybarless withe no stabilization system (there were no stabilization systems).

It was, for me, a reasonably unpleasant experience (the machines were painful to fly).

The flying in that video is beautiful.

Chris, I checked your gallery.
How does the three bladed head fly? It looks awesome.
I'm into my third gallon in two weeks.

Thanks for the kind words, RAK.
My flybarless experience has been far from painful.

Tony, it has been done before. Scroll up to cmsilvoy and check his gallery.

Wow, it's been a while since I checked this thread.
The 3 bladed head flew awesome, although I had some phasing and interaction issues that I could not get worked out completely because of the custom ccpm system.
I have 2 of the heads, 1 needs to be rebuilt. However, I am inspired to try the system again on another heli.

Heli-Cuzz,

What RPM are you running and are you running the stock plastic main blade grips?

Thank you.

Not using the stock head in the vids posted above.
I run 1950 and am using an Outrage flybarless head.
Here's a pic of the head.

Yeah, I'm next...Outrage head gets here Wednesday. I'm goin to do the same with my Caliber 6. I can't let my Kyosho Bro have all the fun

Brian, What blades were you flying initially on the OR head? I have a set of standard Radix 600s.

Hey heli-cuzz,

Are you using the stock cal5 mechanical mixing for swash or the upgrade ccpm system?
