Well, new to me anyways. A Blackstar Kaiser Ace and a Blackstar. The Kaiser is in excellent shape with very little use, but very dirty. The Blackstar is in pretty good shape, seen some wear. I got these on e-bay from a girl. She did an awesome job packing, but look how she took the blades off the head.

I got the Blackstar for $25, and $255 for the Kaiser!

Pretty sweet very good deal now just baby themt. Due to lack of parts. I had a TSK MyStar46 (cheaper version of Blackstar) had to abandon the one way start bearing in the clutch failed and was not replacable so I parted out. The Blackstar's were pricy due to all the machined parts and were heavy that why thye came out with the MyStar line.

I have always wanted a Blackstar Super Kaiser since I first saw one many years ago. The quality and attention to detail are first rate. I couldn't afford one at the time. You very rarely see them on E-bay. I got out bid on one about a year ago that sold over $450.

Shame you got rid of the model because it is possible to change the one way bearing. It takes me about 10mins and uses the same one as a shuttle. Price for these was about ten pounds and I used to buy them from Quick UK. Most helpfull people.
All you do is drill out the bottom of the clutch 10mm dia and push the bearing out. Refit with bearing fit from Loctite or similar. There is no vertical load when starting. The Shuttle bearing can be pushed straight through and is much easier to change but once modified the TSK is also very easy. New clutch is about three times the cost of the bearing.

Why fly the rest when you can fly the best. What are the best these days anyway ?
