For those that own a Raptor 90SE or 90 3D as well as T-Rex 700. Let me say this first of all, I am not trying to start a argument or debate just looking for an honest answers that’s all, because there is difference defiantly between the two three helicopters.

I have watched several videos of pro’s flying T-700 and Raptor 90 SE , and I tried to compare how Colin Bell put’s a smack down with his Raptor 90SE --- Then I watched Alan Szabo go crazy with T-700.

From what I can tell the Raptor 90 is defiantly not as quick, and it does not look as if it is not locked in very well with the pilot, perhaps do to its weight it looks sort of heavy IMO.

On the other hand the Raptor 90SE to me looks way better then T-700, it appears to be a bigger helicopter and more masculant, in addition, it might not be a fastest heli, but defiantly when in right hands looks smooth in air.

As to T-Rex 700, well it defiantly looks to be a faster more responsive, precise lighter machine that is made for 3D only. The question can a Raptor 90SE be modified to be as quick and have that locked feeling as T700 ???

Respectfully,
Armed

Well I owned both and I must say the 90se has more of a locked in feeling and is more stable! The trex 700 is a hair quicker and you will be working on it more than you will fly it. So I sold my 700 and im sticking with raptors. Then again it depends whos flying the heli also.

Ok I guess I was wrong and, thank you for your respond like I said I have never flown one I just watched videos and it sure looks like T-REX-700 is much quicker.

Once Again
Thanks

There is also a big difference between the way that the 90SE and the 90 3D flies. The 3D has much better cyclic response.

?

You can't tell any thing from watching videos..

Different pilots. Different setups, different flying styles.

You cant even draw a conclusion flying someones machine because they may have it dial back

You have answered your own question. To make the R90SE as quick as the T-700 it would need to be lightened, by doing this you will lose stability. It's a trade off.

its in the head

If you like to make a se faster you should update the head parts on the se with 3d parts

Seesaw
Fly bar
Upper mixing arms
Plastic pitch tray
Super stubs for really fast cyclic or the red paddles with no end cap screwed all the way in.

Good servos like ace 1015 or 351 bls on 6.0vs

You have to use the stock fly bar arms the birdcage doesn’t fit on the 3d head setup

infinavation dampeners

Weight don’t get all hung up on that just fly the hell out of the heli

The biggest thing with any heli is to stick with one and learn it jumping around from one to another you will never get any better and burn allot of fuel all helis have there pro and cons

Hope that helps Dino

Once again I just wanted to get some input, and yes I agree with several comments on here. And I am pretty sure that I will go with Raptor Helicopters and learn everything possible about them, and with time I will do upgrades to my liking and flying style.

Once again I like to thank you all for responding.

I keep going back to Raptors...I'm on my 3rd 90se It's like I stray and fly other brands for a while, but the simplicity of the Raptor design is very nice. Don't get me wrong, my SDX flies absolutely awesome, and my Fury is a rockin' heli too.

I converted a Raptor 90SE to electric.

http://www.runryder.com/helicopter/t478412p1/

I love it. It is way more rugged design than the Trex helis.

Trex 700 I see at the fly field, I look at their carbon frames,
they are thinner then Raptor 90SE.

Take the canopy of the trex, its made out of that thin plastic
that cracks just from viberation alone.

The Raptor canopy made out of a different plastic thats stiff, but
flexes without cracking, and can crash and still look good.

I had a logo 20, canopy was 65 dollars, Raptor 25 dollars.

If your trex canopy costs more than $25 that ain't a good deal.

The trex is quicker, and this is why it is lighter, but it wears out
fast without crashing, and then breaks and strippeds, can't get the starter out of the engine after starting.

Mr. Armed Forces the Raptor 90SE with all the carbon and the CNC
rotor head is an awsome machine, and if you put a scale commanche body
on it, you will look like the bad A** military heli that it is.

And it will move like it.

I fly and then I fly some more.
If it don't glitch then I won't crash.

RAPTOR 90 ALL THE WAY!!!!

Go for the 3D head. You'll get more pitch than the SE and the quality will out perform the 700

3D?? No - just another input error!!!

After owning several Align and Raptor helicopters I can say that Raptor helicopters are far better quality. Align has a good design but the quality is the lowest of and 90 size helicopter that I have seen.

Align also has some really goofy design features like the oddball links – what were they thinking?

ArmedForces-
You do know there is a difference in lengths in the 90 Raptor booms and the 700 booms!
Shorter booms will always appear faster in any video!

Raptor 90 tracks/locks in better.

Have owned and flown both for the last couple seasons. Both have their positives and negatives. Without a doubt TT has a leg up when it comes to the quality of parts over the Align machines. If TT were to create a new 90 machine which was lighter and had eCCPM I'd be all over it as I prefer the way the 700 feels in the air over the R90.
