My Posts This: Topic Forum | I was flying during an overcast day with a cold front coming through. Dropped down below the tree line and the heli went inverted. Tried to roll it back over from inverted and it rolled inverted a 2nd time. I disabled the AP2000i (setup on a switch) and was able to roll it back over once more, that was when I lost orientation and the heli went in. First off, I should not of been flying that day due to the overcast conditions as well as a cold front coming in. However, I have had the AP2000i react to tree lines where the horizon could not be seen. Gain was around 35 to 40%. I have had zero issues with the Helicommand 3A. As far as I'm concerned having to remember when to turn on and turn off the stabilization when ducking below trees is something I really don't want to deal with, I have enough to deal with (setting up the shot, communication with camera operator, dealing with clients, etc) than to worry about what the stabilization is doing.
The AP2000i is a good piece of hardware if you use it correctly, however like I said above its not suited for my application.
