Hi guys

I know this is something that should not be done but for a job I am
asked to lift a 6 - 6.5Lb payload. Right now the largest machine I have is a T-rex 600 with rotortech 610 semisym blades, castle HH110 esc, stock 600xl motor on Flightpower 6s 5000 25c.
Moreover it's quite hot here these days (about 91 F°)

Is that just crazy? did any of you ever tested a such heavy payload?

I have no time to thinking of a new heli or a stretch for the 600.

thanks

lele

you will probably overheat something, 4 lbs is the max payload for a stock t rex 600 IMO

thanks Juan and Trackhead, I know it would push the limit.

I do always fly the T-rex 600 with a load of 4.4Lb and it works ok, last week I had to take 12 high altitude panos in just 1 morning and had no problem at all even with all that flying with little rest time between flights.

Now the point is that I am sure it would takeoff and fly even at 6.5lb (that is a big load but it's not too far from the 75% rule limit) but what most probable problems could happen? should the motor be the weakest part of the chain? It would be sad to loose this new client. But it would be even more sad to crash the heli in front of him...

I would stretch it to run 700 blades with that weight.

lele personally I would not risk it, way too heavy, the stock t rex motor runs hot with no payload, you might end up burning that or the ESC, the stretch to 700 is an easy job ask your client for some time.

There is truly nothing more sickening than seeing your helicopter plummet towards earth with little you can do about it but pray. Don't risk it.
