any of your Vision have this problem...the tail vibrates up and down, it is very noticeable during a hover in Idle 2.

i have tried the following and it hasn't fixed it:

1)CF Tail Blades
2)CF Fins
3)Raptor 50 Metal Tail Pitch Slider(reduced vibration intensity by about 1/3)
4)Pulley and Tailshaft
5)Tail hub

im out of ideas...

From my experience an up and down vib in the tail is usually due to something in the head not being right.

Mine has the same problem .
My bet is it is because there is runout in the flybar cage . I put my mainshaft , headblock/flybar cage in my lathe and the runout was really bad . I have now managed to align it much better , but without a lathe I don't know how you would do it .
I haven't flown it sinse I've re-aligned the head , so I don't know if it's fixed yet or not . If not , I'll probably fit a Raptor head and be done with it .

At the end of the day , it gets dark .

Ehlo

most time on heli's this caused by flybar not same length both sides.. not saying it is, but worth a check

also balance head completely, I normally use highpoint balancer for airplane props.. keep main shaft in head and balance head without blades, just paddles etc. I've often found 1 paddle heaver than other etc.

I've actually never seen vibration caused by tail itself (and I've flown very badly bent tail shafts without knowing it)

Please keep us updated

Tail Vibes

I`ve just started to get these tail vibes on my Vision 50 after about 20 flights. I have checked the heli over nose to tail and I can`t see anything untoward. It only happens in idle up head speed about 1850. Looks like the damn thing will self destruct. Have any of you guys found an answer to this yet ???

Tail vibe

Mine too, my second vision, first is v smooth, the other is new and has a slight vibe to tail, which I can't make go away have tried all the above and changed over the clutch, bell, hub. My last reort is to swap the whole tail and see if that works, any other ideas?

YES! Mine has this problem! The Upper rotor hub (the part the flybar runs in) pivots on the screws that hold it to the main rotor hub! The play is a good 1mm! Has anyone fixed this without sending parts back for replacement?

Forgotten how to hover!

Fixed it! I had to put a circular piece of paper between the upper and lower rotor hub as the slight gap was causing the upper rotor hub to sway/pivot side to side on the 2 screws. I ran the head in a lathe before and after doing this and it has cured it 100%.

Forgotten how to hover!

I used 24hr epoxy to fill the gaps on mine before re-aligning it in the lathe .

At the end of the day , it gets dark .
