G10 and CF frames will be the choices - I am fairly certain that the orange colored frames will not be available. As to flying characteristics, I have flown the Vibe 50, T-Rex 600, K3D, Raptor V2 and can say with total assurance the Velocity 50 outperforms them all in stability and response. It is very hard to judge a helicopters performance by viewing videos - but I have had the pleasure of flying the Velocity 50 and can honestly say it is a solid and very quick flying helicopter. Providing parts support is in generous supply this 50 will be a great success.

Problems ? -- Mine are flown in fresh daily

Hummmm,
Think I will stick with my Vibe

HC can make any heli look good
Enjoy your new heli though! When I can find something about the Vibe I don't like, I will try another brand... I like the look of the Velocity 50...

My flying is totally Sponsored by.........ME!

The only thing that sucks about that statement is I know he has not crashed it...
If I can ever say I have had 243 flights without a crash - Ill know I can finally fly

Im no guru, Im not even very good, but I know if Henry puts 200+ flights on a bird without it falling apart, then its definately well built

I can honestly say that the only problem I've had was that the oneway beaing started slipping in the clutch. I disassembled and oiled it and problem was fixed.

This is the only problem I've had. I will have the ys 56 in a week to test with the 620's and soon 630's . This should be a rocket setup.

lucky bastage with the new engine! thing should be insane.

specially with 630s.

so obviously its a tad longer than even the Vibe which is already "stretched" compared to other .50s if its going to be able to swing 630s.. impressive.

Still will wait for user impressions on the first batch I like this bird but am gun shy after the last few bad purchases I made.

The head design is identical to the Outrage 550, which is incredibly quick. If you read any of the other posts on HF about peoples first flight with the 550, you'll see what I mean. I would imagine that the Velocity will give people the same WOW.

HOPEFULLY, they have all the kinks worked out before the release. Many folks had issues with the Outrage 550 initially, but to Outrages' credit, they fixed them quickly.

Life is tough, it's tougher if you're stupid

Sorry to be so skeptical but we have all heard the same crap over and over on new release helis and very very few meet the standards.

Like the Ely-Q.. for example. No offense to anyone who owns one, but I never did like the design. Just my opinion. The Velocity however, looks sexy. All I'm hoping for is less parts count than the Vibe otherwise I'll pass. Coming from the factory already blinged out and an included muffler, is just an added bonus and has my attention.
