Will, I rebuilt the Synergy with some new carbon frames and Kasama bearing blocks. Also removed the main braces and used stand offs to shave more weight.

I needed to rework my CG since going flybarless. I had to add 3/4 of a oz of lead to the tail. I was able to hide the weight on the tail fin. It's JB welded on, so it's not going anywhere.

I moved the battery as far back as I could. I probably could have moved more stuff around so I did not have to use the lead, but I got lazy. I saw at XFC they where doing this on some of the flybarless machines. Thought if it was good enough for them, good enough for me.

The total weight without fuel was 10lbs 9.5 oz. Not bad! I'm happy with it.

Put 3 flights on her today, going out for a full day of flying tomorrow. Flys great!

Here are the pis. Enjoy!

Come on N5, my N9 needs a little brother.

I was talking to Bonta yesterday about those braces since he doesn;t run them either. Said it doesn't need em.

I supposed you just use some N9 standoffs?

Can you also tell me about your canopy mounts? All four of mine have stripped out. Did you mod them?

Yeah, I used the stand offs from my plastic bearing blocks. Since I changed them out with the Kasmam bearing blocks, this worked great.

I have always used a longer M3 bolt with my canopy nuts. I added a fiber washer to my canopy mounts. This gives the canopy grommet more surface to press against. Look close at my pics, you'll see it.

Thanks Chris

It works really well. I have zero issues with canopy grommets now.

One last question, where did you get the fuel line to frame holders on the line to the muffler?

One question i have is WRT the flybarless setup..

Given the the flybar and associated hardware should be right at the CG, why would going flybarless create a need to move things around to re-balance the heli?

Is there something else which changed?
